Children’s Garden
The newly renovated Teaching Kitchen is accepting eco camp summer programs for age groups: 4-6, 6-9 and 10-14.
Colborne Lodge
Visit Colborne Lodge – where High Park began! The former home of John and Jemima Howard is now a year-round museum where you can learn about the founding of the park and the Howards’ lives.The Lodge offers programs and tours.
High Park Nature Centre
The Nature Centre is a non-profit organization that promotes awareness and respect for nature through year-round outdoor environmental education and park stewardship programs for visitors of all ages.
Friends of High Park Zoo
A non-profit organization formed to keep the 120 year old High Park Zoo from closing. Every Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (April to October) from 11:30am-2pm, special events for children are held in the llama pen as a continuing fundraiser.
High Park Nature
High Park Nature is dedicated to educating and informing park users and the general public about High Park’s unique natural heritage and the steps being taken to protect and restore this heritage.
High Park Stewards
Volunteer stewards work with the City of Toronto to protect and restore the remaining natural areas of High Park including the black oak savannah and related flora and fauna. Stewards meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month except December from 10:30am-1pm.
High Park Walking Tours
Explore High Park every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10:30am. These informative walks often feature a special interpreter or celebrity spokesperson and their views of the park.
High Park Resource Group
The High Park Resource Group (HPRG) is a community resource group which provides information and advice for the consideration of City of Toronto staff and Council.
Park Watch
Park Watch is a volunteer initiative of the former High Park Citizens’ Advisory Committee and works in partnership with the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation and Toronto Police Services at 11 Division.
The purpose is to keep High Park a safe and friendly place.
K9 Committee
K9 is a group of dog owners, dog walkers and people of High Park. K9 advocates for enhancing dogs’ experiences at the leash-free area, promotes responsible dog ownership and park stewardship and schedules activities such as clean-ups or training courses.
Baseball, Soccer, and Tennis
A perennial favourite, afternoon and evening soccer and baseball games are enjoyed across the road from the All-Star Cafe. The Howard Park Tennis Club is located at 430 Parkside Drive, just south of Bloor Street West.
Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Parkdale-High Park works for the benefit of the community, and in support of the international community service initiatives of Rotary International. The group meets Thursdays at 7:30 am at the Grenadier Restaurant.
