If you want to be part of a global network of community volunteers, then Rotary is for you. We meet Thursday mornings at 7:30 am at the Grenadier Café located in the centre of Toronto’s High Park.

Part of the cycle of the sun is a great time to walk the cycle of circles that is the labyrinth in High Park. We walk circles to mark cycles. It’s a meditation to measure time…. slowly. Enjoy your Spring.
Celebrate the first weekend of spring at the High Park Nature Centre. We’ll use natural dyes to colour eggs; we’ll build nests and plant spring grass. Then we’ll go for a walk to look for signs of spring!

Event Description: Join us for our annual lights out event! The event will start indoors with beeswax candle dipping and lantern making. We’ll use our lanterns to light our way through the trails. As we walk we’ll learn about some of the human impacts on the plants and animals of High Park. We will end the hike with a campfire and s’mores.

UPDATE on EARTH HOUR WALK – Saturday, March 28.
Friends of High Park Zoo and Green 13 have decided that we must cancel this year’s walk due to Covid-19 virus. We were hoping that as it is an outdoor activity it could continue, but with High Park Zoo now closed and the Grenadier Restaurant with restricted hours it is not a responsible thing to do. We encourage everyone to celebrate Earth Hour at home by powering down. We look forward to seeing you next year.
