Holiday Greenery Workshops

Start your Christmas preparations by creating your very own Christmas wreath or centerpiece using nature’s bounty. These 2-hour workshops are a popular pre-Christmas get-together activity for groups of friends and families. Set in picturesque High Park, the Lodge’s winter kitchen offers a cozy historic ambience for this seasonal craft. Participants also explore the Howard’s beautiful home in all its Christmas glory and enjoy light seasonal refreshments in the drawing room. Workshops available Saturday & Sunday mornings & Thursday evenings in November and December. Click here for dates and to purchase tickets.

Art of the Park led by Grace Petrucci

Sunday morning casual gatherings offering observations on the various elements of the park. Each walk has a different theme and is led by volunteer scientists, historians, and local naturalists who will help you to understand and explore High Park’s many characteristic features.

Walks may go on wooded trails, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Each session is scheduled for 1 1/2 hours. All ages are welcome; some walks may be more attractive to children. Dogs on leash only, please.

Free Sunday Walking Tours take place every first and third Sunday of the month, including holidays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, but participants may come and go as needed.

Meet at the benches, across the road from the south side of Grenadier Restaurant in the middle of High Park.

Join us for the 6th Annual High Park Christmas Celebrations Event from 1-5 pm on Sunday, Dec 3rd.

Activities take place on the patio at the Grenadier Restaurant in the centre of High Park.

This event is always lots of fun for children and families!!

Meet Santa from 1-2pm as he checks his reindeer in the High Park Zoo with the Friends of the High Park Zoo

On the Grenadier Restaurant Patio from 2-5pm
- Sing along with Junior Choirs and the Withnells
- Hot Chocolate & Cookies
- Marshmallow Roast
- Make a Decoration with the High Park program groups – Colborne Lodge, High Park Children’s Garden and High Park Nature Centre
- Visit a Toronto Fire Truck
- Raffle
- Sing along with “The Withnells” (4:15 – 4:45pm)
- Meet Santa on the Grenadier Restaurant Patio from 4-5 pm
