If you want to be part of a global network of community volunteers, then Rotary is for you. We meet Thursday mornings at 7:30 am at the Grenadier Café located in the centre of Toronto’s High Park.

Llama Pen Activities @ High Park Zoo
Oct 7 @ 11:30 am – 2:00 pm

While the Zoo is open every day from 7:00 am to dusk, visitors can get up close to some animals in the Llama Pen on weekends and statutory holidays from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm (beginning in April until the end of October). Visitors can feed and pet the llamas (Honey and her friends) and interact with other animals such as chickens and rabbits.

Autumn Splendour Photo-Buff Walk Walking Tour @ High Park

This week’s walk -

Autumn Splendour Photo-Buff Walk led by David Allen

Sunday morning casual gatherings offering observations on the various elements of the park. Each walk has a different theme and is led by volunteer scientists, historians, and local naturalists who will help you to understand and explore High Park’s many characteristic features.

Walks may go on wooded trails, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Each session is scheduled for 1 1/2 hours. All ages are welcome; some walks may be more attractive to children. Dogs on leash only, please.

Free Sunday Walking Tours take place every first and third Sunday of the month, including holidays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, but participants may come and go as needed.

Meet at the benches, across the road from the south side of Grenadier Restaurant in the middle of High Park.

Haunted High Park – Adult and Teen – Sold Out @ Colborne Lodge
Oct 19 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Explore the grounds of High Park after dark and discover the chilling legends and ghostly tales that have been spooking visitors for decades. Discover Victorian funeral and mourning traditions inside the candlelit rooms of historic Colborne Lodge and see what goes creak in the night.  Spooky refreshments included. New this year – each haunted walk will be enhanced with a Victorian Séance presented by Doc Wuthergloom of award winning Eldritch Theatre. $32.50 plus tax. Teens 13 to 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
