High Park Allotment Gardens

Welcome to the High Park Allotment Gardens,
one of Toronto's best known and best established small urban farming communities.

The Allotment Garden in High Park is a total of 109 approx.
600 sq ft. garden plots, tended individually by local residents,
We are a group of enthusiastic cultivators of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
We grow a very interesting variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers,
everything from edible flowers to edamame, azaleas to zucchini.

There are as many gardening styles here as gardeners.
Many have been actively tilling and tending a plot in this allotment garden for more than 25 years.
None are more generous about sharing their experience and knowledge
or even a cutting or two, than our senior gardeners,
while our newer members bring a fresh enthusiasm and commitment
to the pleasures of planting, nurturing, and finally harvesting
our own fresh, healthy, organic produce each season.

The Allotment Gardens are among the many gems of High Park, a pastoral oasis in the urban forest.

Our gardens are located in the centre of the Off Leash Dog Area,
north of the Dream in High Park stage, between Spring Road and Colborne Lodge Road.

Assignment of plots, when they become available,
is managed through the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation.
Rental per season, May 1st - October 31st.
