Free Walking Tours
All tours start and end at the Joy Station.

12:30pm – 2pm
Along the Boardwalk of Humber Bay
Now lined with quiet parks and recreation facilities, the waterfront around Humber Bay was once home to dance halls, Sunnyside Amusement Park, and a wooden boardwalk where the annual Easter Parade was held.  Hear about this area’s fascinating past on a walk led by the Swansea Historical Society.

2 – 3pm
Beach Nature Walk for Kids and Families
Wander the Humber Bay shoreline with nature educator Diana Teal to learn about the plants, trees, birds and insects that live down at the beach! Bring your favorite nature exploration tools if you have them – binoculars, magnifying glasses, bug collection nets or containers.
3 – 4pm
Photo-Buffs Walking Tour
Calling all photo buffs! Join local photographer, David Allen, for a tour to capture images of life at the beach. Bring your camera and your questions, or just come to learn how to look through a photographer’s eyes.  To learn more about David Allen and his work, visit: highparkphotos.ca OR photobuffs.blogspot.ca

Activities for Kids and Families at the Joy Station
12:30 – 4pm

Help to build a giant stone labyrinth on the beach, make beach crafts and go on a beach scavenger hunt!
