"FRIENDS OF HIGH PARK" MEMBERSHIP

High Park Initiatives (HPI) is a registered charity dedicated to supporting staff and volunteer-led environmental education and stewardship programs in Toronto’s High Park.  Members of HPI become “Friends of High Park”- a community made up of dedicated individuals, couples and families who share in HPI’s commitment to protecting, preserving and restoring High Park’s woodland, savannah and wetland ecosystems for future generations.  Membership supports numerous environmental activities carried out through the High Park Community Advisory Council (HPCAC) and the High Park Nature Centre.

The Benefits of Membership

-         satisfaction of being involved in the protection and preservation of High Park’s natural resources

-         a vote at the HPI Annual General Meeting

-         eligibility to serve on the HPI Board of Directors and various committees (minimum age requirement: 19 years)

-         an invitation to HPI’s Annual Open House at the High Park Nature Centre

-         quarterly “Members Only” walking tours in the park followed by a reception at Grenadier Café and Teahouse (starting Spring 2008)

-         quarterly newsletters, “High Park News” informing you of happenings, upcoming events and special events

Annual Membership Categories (to be renewed each year)

 $10                       Volunteer

For active volunteers of High Park who donate their time to assist with the management and preservation of High Park.

 

$15                       Student/Youth    

For individuals under the age of 19 years or a university or college student with valid student ID.

 

$15                       Senior

For individuals over the age of 65 years.

 

$25                       Individual

For individuals between the ages of 19 to 65 years.

 

$40                        Family

For families, both adults and children, living at the same address.
